I'm a middle-aged Malaysian. Ever since I was in primary school I was under the impression that our government comprised a bunch of incompetent people.

The sad thing is, it is truth and they are still here mainly because there are too many people who think like me.

Only after I was away from the country for many years, that I started to think that I could make a difference no matter how trivial my contribution.

I'm neither a Malay nor a crony, and I believe in ‘fair for all' so I ruled out Umno. I didn't think I qualified to join MIC because I'm not Indian.

MCA was never my cup of tea because they are nothing but a ‘running dog' of Umno. Seriously I think they bring shame to the Chinese.

Left with not too many choices I almost joined Gerakan. They seemed like a bunch of decent folk, but after March 8, I saw they were ‘toothless barking dogs' for Umno.

I also saw PKR as an abruptly formed party by a diverse group of people, in other words, no quality control for membership.

My application to join DAP still collecting dust inside my drawer because I'm worried that no one will want to hire me once they know I'm from DAP.

PAS seems to be my last choice, but too bad I'm not a Muslim yet. Honestly, PAS seems to be the only party that still possess moral values in everything they do.
