Gerakan cowardly pulled out of the anti-ISA rally, the MCA as usual was quiet about the whole issue, and if Tee Kiat's recent revelations about him being threatened by certain quarters is true, then I think he should make public his stand on the ISA as he could be one of its next victims.

Our police showed the world via Al Jazeera and the BBC how brutal and capable they are of wrecking violence on innocent citizens, who wanted to express their dissatisfaction against a law that operates contrary to our Constitution, and one that is being flouted by this government.

The Royal Malaysian Police were in their element, and judging from what we saw, I'm sure most Malaysians have very little doubt of what happened to Kugan.

The police provoked the peaceful demonstrators to react. It was so blatant - tear gassing people trapped in the underground car parks in the Sogo area. Shame on the police. The rakyat showed them what discipline meant.

There was scant regard for security, safety and the well being of citizens. Instead here were a group of men bent on violently attacking ordinary peace-loving citizens with batons, tear gas and chemically laced water, all because they wanted to deliver a message to their King.

Prime Minister Najib Razak does not see the sense of the rakyat pleading to the head of state as a democratic act. He sees it as a threat to the peace and security of the country, and together with his cousin, the home minister, seem set to provoke the people to create anarchy

Hishamuddin Hussein lied through his teeth when interviewed by the BBC saying both (the anti-ISA and the pro-ISA) groups were treated the same. In the first place there was only one group, and somehow the leader of the pro-ISA group got through police lines to deliver his petition to the palace.

Even before his appointment as prime minister, Najib knew there had been, and still have serious questions about his background and ability to hold office, Altantuya and Anwar Ibrahim just for starters.

The ISA is the only tool men with baggage have at their disposal to hold on to power and wreck on every democratic institution that evenly remotely seem to be a threat to the existence of Umno.

Ong Tee Kiat has to state the stand of MCA on this issue, is MCA for the ISA or is MCA for democracy, you can't have the ISA and claim to be democratic.

I say it again, Ong Tee Kiat, follow the example of your friend and crossover, you will be seen as a man of honour, a saviour of the democratic process.

Do not cling to power, and do not get drunk with the type of power the BN accords to you via Umno. Quit the racial track, and come be less Chinese, and more Malaysian.
