Has Kugan been forgotten? How can someone be tortured to death by police over a period of days and nothing is done? Has Altantuya been forgotten?

Where is Bala and his family? Who determined the content of the statutory declaration? Who paid the lawyer involved in the second statutory declaration?

Who paid the stamp duty on the second statutory declaration? What about all the allegations of misconduct? Are they to be so easily forgotten?

What about Nizar and the great Perak fiasco? The time given to Nizar to file an appeal against a court decision should have begun only upon Nizar being served notice of the decision.

As it was, a deadline was already set for Nizar to file his appeal although the court had not given him notice of the decision.

The time to appeal was running out for Nizar as he waited for the notice from the court. Isn't that an instance of mala fide by the court?

There are many ills plaguing the country as we approach the midway stage in the life of a nation which was hard fought for by our forefathers.

We must strive to stay connected and encourage families to visit each other as well as display the national flag this Aug 31.

In this respect, I suggest that the toll operators waive toll from now until Aug 31. This will be seen as an excellent gesture of goodwill and social responsibility.
