Recently a friend of mine started campaigning for 'Satu Sekolah untuk Semua' (One School for All). Of course, I support a school where all races can mix freely.

I myself, am a graduate of a missionary school (SXI Penang), where all the races intermingled and I'm extremely proud of it.

However, for my two-year old daughter, we are already planning to send her to the nearest SRJK (C). Why, some may ask?

Well for a very simple reason. China is going to be the next biggest economy in the world and I'm sure it will be the biggest once she grows up.

I want my kid to be in a strategic position where she is able to speak the language of the biggest economy in the world.

I also want them to speak fluently in Bahasa Malaysia, our national language, as Malaysia is the only one country for me and also English (the world's language).

That might be a very tall order but we are going to put a lot of effort to make it happen.

In the mean time, I would like to tell supporters of Kempen SSS, that SRJK (C) is also open to all Malaysians.

Which means that Chinese-vernacular schools are already Satu Sekolah untuk Semua .

If you are keen to equip your children strategically with the language of the world's largest economy when they grow up in this globalised world, I suggest you register your kids at the nearest SRJK (C).

It truly is a school for all.
