Najib to hammer last nail into MCA's coffin

I refer to the Malaysiakini report MCA crisis: Najib to intervene .

By creating a situation for Umno President Najib Abdul Razak to interfere, MCA President Ong Tee Keat has blown it for MCA. Doesn’t Ong Tee Keat realise that he has created a situation whereby Najib can find the excuse he needs to interfere with the affairs of the MCA and this is what most Malaysian of Chinese origin do not want to see happen?

Far too often has the MCA been ‘assisted’ to solve their crises by Umno leaders. This is an insult to any self-respecting Malaysian of Chinese origin. The repercussions for the MCA will be far worse than Ong Tee Keat can imagine.

Tears of anger and frustration and tears of a ‘cry baby’ are two different things. Many of those who commented over what Ong did to the MCA Youth and Wanita chiefs seem to think that they are one and the same. Unfortunately, many so-called macho people cannot accept seeing a leader shed tears!

Which politician is not an opportunist? But the way a leader does things to create his ‘opportunity’ are varied. Ways like ‘co-habiting’ with an adulterer is not the right way. Also, to remove people who have the guts to speak up and ask for a just action to put the party back in line is not the best way.

From a leader that was promising, he showed his weakness and took actions that cannot and will not be condoned by the ordinary Malaysian of Chinese origin. I for one, who never really supported the MCA of late, have now lost all respect for MCA and this situation will remain until and unless those responsible for this recent fiasco are gotten rid off.

By his very actions, Ong has done the opposition a great favour and their supporters will have to thank him. If he is counting on the support of Umno, he better think twice! Any Chinese-based party can do as much as MCA can now for Umno and BN.

Any Chinese-based party can do as little as MCA has done for Malaysians of Chinese origin. Ong is now inviting Najib to hammer the last nail into MCA’s coffin.

If he is wise (though I doubt a man pushed against the wall with his position being threatened can be), he would accept the move for fresh elections for his party to chose new leaders.
