I refer to the Malaysiakini article Ketuanan Melayu: Am I alone?

Very fluent comment by Mariam- well done. The old question of authority of Malays on MalayLand and the subsequent formations of 'Malay champion' conglomerate- I think is farce. And to perpetually broadcast the need for this type of movement deepens the lamentable position the Malays are in.

True, patriotism, racial euphemism is not only important but compulsory for each and every individual because therein motivates a nation to serve, protect and prosper. Ego is created for a reason, and the caveat is it is a potent drug- overdosing will lead to you becoming a social outcast or a pseudonym with a four-letter word.

If these guys are fighting for Malays- they are fighting a lost cause. If they are fighting to hoard and accumulate their wealth, then sure as hell, ain’t nothing can stop these idiots. And trust me they will create other non-related so called do-good parties to achieve just that.

If we take KL as a microcosm that samples the attitude and mindset of all the races in Malaysia, we see (I do anyway) that most people would not like to attach or be seen themselves to be identified a Malaysian. The inferiority complex is conspicuous, identity adoption or xeno-philia is so the in-thing. Just a small example, why the obsession with being/looking pan-Asian, and whiter than white?

Where is the recognition of ‘self’? Switch on any mainstream media and immediately you will recognise the painful similarity between ‘Not Us’ and ‘Us’. When I was in Malaysia last year, people were talking about what they get up to (up close and effing personal) the night before- in effing mid-day radio chat! What happened to honour and self-appreciation?

The lines of established culture and racial identity has long blurred. We have turned into zombies that obeys the faint whisper of selfishness and carnal lust. We are the product of the consumerism and ideology of big corporations from the West. In reality, we are not separated by creed or religion any more. We are separated by cliques, what brand we use, what football teams we support and in it all we get distracted from the greater/bigger things in life.

To really fight for the rights and future of a race is not by making all these crazy hate-mongering agenda. It is by way of conjuring a situation whereby the end product is to have a creed/race/ whatever with their own individuality and free to free themselves from people dictating their own eventuality.

I say, do away with the special rights and let the bumi drown- sooner or later- they will learn to swim, and by God they will be one hell of a swimmer. In the end, look at what they will become - a better, self-motivated and goal-orientated individual who will not only have pride in themselves, but also in their natio as well.

It is the whole process of 'ownership' of your own success and that’s where I'm getting at. You cannot in the modern-day society, take a person by the hand and say 'There, there...'

You need to rock up with a bloodied sledgehammer and wake ’em up. Like advertisement, images bring about a better/clearer message. May we all have peace.
