Has the Biro Pengaduan Awam (BPA) or Public Complaints Bureau (PCB) become apologists for the accused?

I find this new development to be disturbing. I was able to get into their thinking and style recently when I realised that the letters of complaint I sent them were also copied to those whom I had accused of being negligent in their official duties in the respective government departments and agencies.

And the BPA staff had the audacity to consider the matter concerning my complaints to be closed or sudah selesai after obtaning mere excuses from the officers of those agencies I had complained against.

They did not conduct any investigation of their own to verify if these excuses were lame or downright lies as some of them were. How could they consider the matter to be sudah selesai ?

The BPA is now behaving more like apologists for those government officers and their departments or agencies who are negligent. They are not conducting serious investigations on the complaints lodged with them.

The BPA officers used to be very adept in their investigations and had even taken action against some of the earlier complaints I had lodged with them which caused a director-general of a government agency to be asked to resign over a corruption case involving a Fuji still camera which he had demanded from a company which supplies goods to the agency and industry.

The BPA officers had also caused the chairperson of the film agency to resign from his post since he is also a senator and these functions do not complement with one another.

If these complaints had been lodged today, chances are the BPA officers would send the complaint letters to those officers and once they get any lame excuse from them, they would consider the matter to be sudah selesai .

I hope the BPA does not take the public for ride. Complaints must be kept in strict confidence and should never be copied to those who are said to be negligent.
