I read the Malaysiakini report Protestors demand Ronnie Liu's resignation with great interest because I was concerned by his nonchalant dismissal of the protestors. I understand that Liu may have been rather defensive of the accusation made but however he should have at least heard their demands.

The kind of accountability that is being displayed by Ronnie Liu is at best dismal. DAP politicians take pride in being incorruptible and contemptuous of underhanded dealings - well that is what they say every time they shame and name BN politicians.

Let us look at the way DAP has closed ranks and dealt with the issue of Liu's involvement in issuing support letters. It is alarming to know that, DAP has yet to shed light on how they dealt with the investigation of the support letters.

Has DAP learnt so well from BN, that protecting their kind is far more important than dispensing justice? Currently, the process of awarding contracts in local councils in Selangor is not standardised nor are they transparent. If the process is not transparent, how can the Selangor state government claim to be accountable?

Why has Ronnie Liu not faced Selcat? I want to know why he has not resigned. I want to know why the Selangor menteri besar didn’t handle the issue with more expediency.

Why was it only Tee Boon Hock had to face stern action? Was it because he was ‘expendable’ or to silence him?

I am disturbed because if Pakatan Rakyat is supposed to be the alternative government, they don't seem to be doing a better job. It is highly frustrating to realize the rakyat is at the receiving end of errant and unscrupulous politicians yet again.
