Why didn't Ministry promote Penang at S'pore fair?

Dear Tourism Minister Ng Yen Yen, I was at Suntec Singapore last weekend and there was an exhibition by Tourism Malaysia with booths from the states in Peninsular Malaysia. Recently during the launch of the new Bukit Bendera funicular train you mentioned that Penang is lagging behind Melaka and it has all the potential to be the tourism leader in Malaysia.

NONE I whole heartedly agree with you that Penang has alot to offer, in terms of historical sites, culture, beautiful beaches and glorious food!

However, I am puzzled and upset that your ministry did not take steps to promote Penang at these events after your comments were made both in mass and online media. On the same note, I also did not see any booths from the states of Kelantan and Terengganu. As far as I know these states have alot to offer as well and sadly there were no representatives from these states at the event.

NONE See the photos from the said exhibition. I did not take photos of all the booths but I believe you have all the info you need from your ministry to validate what I've said.

I am a Penangite and to see that the state is not promoted to it's fullest potential by the Tourism Ministry really begs the question on the ministry's commitment to the taxpayers of Penang in bringing foreign tourists to the state at these events.
