An open letter to Gerakan Wanita Chief Tan Lian Hoe:

I am prompted to write you this open letter after reading what you said during your Gerakan Wanita AGM . I am only an ordinary Malaysian citizen and I am not affiliated to any political party, but I am disgusted by what you have said.

How dare you accuse the rakyat of being ungrateful to the BN government? Must you be reminded that the duty of the ruling government is to serve the people and look after the welfare of the people, because it is the people who put you there in the first place?

It is our tax payer’s money that is used to pay your allowances and salaries and hence it is your duty to look after our interests honestly, without making any demands especially of gratitude to your sinking party. We the people owes you nothing, absolutely nothing.

In the first place, why should we be grateful to a party that does nothing about the following issues that are reported almost daily: alleged blatant corruption by those in power in the BN, racial discrimination of the minorities, a police force that is incapable of protecting the people but will go to all lengths to protect the ruling government even when the the latter are wrong, a  MACC that exercises selective persecution, a compromised judiciary, provocation from religious authorities like Jais and lobby groups like Perkasa, alleged treacherous acts of issuing citizenships to foreigners, that could be a threat to national security, and the list goes on and on.

By you making your demands, you must be very naïve to assume that the people are fools. On the contrary, you insulted our intelligence with your child like demand for gratitude when you did nothing to stop the issues listed above from happening. Must I also remind you that by your silence on those issues, you are condoning such acts, some of which are criminal and seditious in nature?

Your party has failed the people miserably and if you have any pride left, please pack up and leave, just like how you have advised your weak party president Koh Tsu Koon in your speech.
