As a Malaysian, I feel that Malaysian politicians should not interfere in Singapore's internal policy. It doesn't matter whether the comments were made publicly or privately, it is still interference.

I think the energy and mental power is better spent on Malaysia's own problems. Is banning the tudang (headscarf) for Muslim female students any worse than the way some university authorities try to deprive certain students from holding their cultural festivals?

Are we aware that there are students in some universities who object to staying with students from different backgrounds in the same dormitory?

Malaysia tries to tell Singapore that we respect the culture and customs of other races but then we do the very opposite on homeground. Sometimes individual rights are also not respected.

I think it is time that we get our priorities right and mend our own home first before we tell others to repair theirs.
