I wish to salute the brave writers like Dr Farish A Noor and the others who are enlightening us on many important matters.

I hope they will extend their work to more taboo areas like calling for the abolition of the Ketuanan Melayu (Malay supremacy) ideology of Umno, as well as republicanism.

All the stuff about religion, race and pre-1789 institutions are symbols of backwardness serving only to hinder the progress of Malay/Muslim Malaysians.

I am sure after exposing the skewed teachings of some ulama (Muslim scholars), these brave writers would move on to other areas that retard the development of the Malay/Muslim Malaysians. We need to be as progressive and competitive as the Chinese and Indian Malaysians so we can challenge them in all fields of endeavour.

Malay/Muslim Malaysians should be free of all pre-modern and feudal shackles once and for all.
