I would like to respond to Clean up MCA membership list before election: Ah Lek (Feb 24). It deeply frustrates and irritates me that such people who claim to be leaders of our country can say such silly things.

I refer to the analogy which Ah Lek makes: "Complete the house before moving in...if the house is not ready, how to move in?" How can he say that when the house he is referring to  MCA  is now more than 50 years old? It has grown and sheltered the Chinese Malaysian all this while and it will continue to do so.

I offer an analogy in response: "For a great big house which means so much to the people living in it, don't ask everyone to move out just because one tile on the roof has fallen off.

So long as the mature ones among us continue to have the majority over selfish, self-thinking politicians, I believe the Chinese in Malaysia will continue to prosper.
