Inspector General of Police Norian Mai should resign immediately for the incompetence of the police force in preventing criminal suspects from escaping from police lock-ups.
It is a shame that while the police is good at detaining legitimate and peaceful opposition leaders, the same police force is utterly incompetent in managing the real menaces to public order, i.e. illegal migrants and criminals.
There is only one way to restore the image of the police: The IGP must resign. Otherwise, the reprimand of the home minister is just empty talk.
