After reading the alleged cases of racial segregation in some national schools, I wonder if this is the form of 'vision school' the government is trying to build? The government preaches national unity and equality, yet the people down the chain of command practise racial discrimination. Pity the little boys and girls who can't understand why they are being discriminated. Pity, too, those who know and go crying to their parents that they were not being treated fairly.

And since the Chinese educationists who oppose the vision school have been accused of being 'unpatriotic' and 'communists' who are against racial harmony in the country, it is obvious that whistle blower, National Union of the Teaching Profession, is also being badgered in the same manner, with all quarters from ministers to the headmasters demanding for union secretary-general N Siva Subramaniam's apology.

Most probably NUTP will be 'silenced', and the parents will be disappointed and angry, their kids will have to go through school being discriminated for many years. Then after they are grown up and the competitive field is open and level, see who will excel. It's a fair world; you get what you sow.
