MCA Team A collection's of more than two-third of the delegates to voice against the EGM goes to show how desperate their leaders are in quelling the meeting. Since they have the majority, why are they so afraid of the EGM that has been requested by some 800 delegates?

I think it was important for the EGM to be held to clear up the dubious membership list once and for all before the party divisional elections so that the party would not be haunted by the menace ever again.

The Team A leaders can say whatever they like but since police reports have been made which substantiate that there are irregularities in the membership list (like those found in Kapar Branch) is only the tip of the iceberg.

Why is Team A leader Dr Ling Liong Sik so afraid of an independent verification committee if he has two-thirds of the delegates support?

How effective is the clean-up and check done with the help of the National Registration Department if names of deceased members can still be found in the current membership list? They may try to brush this off as a small matter but manipulation of members list is important for the survival of MCA. No Chinese members would want MCA to fall into such disgrace as Enron.

MCA secretary-general and elections steering committee chairperson Dr Ting Chew Peh must be bold enough to speak up what is righteous for the sake of the party.

Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely. No one is above the party constitution. Act mature and be sensible to the needs of the members and not just the delegates.

Publish the membership list so we will know once and for all the true count of MCA members after the verification exercise.
