No winners in war

I refer to recent letters by Eric and Mari, comparing Singapore's military might against Malaysia's. Both writers tried to appear as having intricate knowledge of military equipment and their capabilities. They seem to enjoy the prospect of seeing (or even participating) in a Singapore-Malaysia war.
Can any country benefit from war? No, I don't think so. History has proved time and again that everybody loses in a war. A war does not harm only the two warring nations; other countries in the region (or even the Western countries) would be dragged into it. Think about it, my friends.
