It is really regrettable that Suhakam is being sued on the Petaling Jaya Selatan tragedy. If there are enough documents, witnesses and photographs to be tendered to court, the victims should sue the Home Minister and the police, not Suhakam.

It is the duty and responsibility of the Home Minister and police to act immediately, swiftly and firmly in the tragedy. They have failed miserably in the performance of their duties and responsibilities. They, not Suhakam, should be sued.

If anyone has the documents, witnesses and photographs, it should also be compiled into a book to be distributed to all embassies in Kuala Lumpur, and the representatives of the United Nations so that they have the basis for humanitarian intervention.
