I refer to Ah Yap's letter No peace for MCA without justice . I think the writer has forgotten to include the unfair dismissal of Chua Jui Meng as the Kedah MCA chief earlier.

By replacing a competent and hardworking leader like Chua, it was not only insulting to him but also split the MCA grassroots in Kedah which is Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad's home state. As Chua is a federal health minister, the dismissal was particularly high-profiled.

If Chua could be a competent health minister, there is no reason why he could not be an equally good state chief of Kedah MCA. Sacking him from Kedah MCA means challenging the judgment and wisdom of Mahathir who appointed him as a Cabinet minister.

So, for real peace to return to MCA, Chua should also be re-instated as the Kedah MCA chief. Of course, party president Dr Ling Liong Sik has to openly apologise to both Chua and Ong Tee Keat for the shame they have been suffering.
