The arrest of 14 people under the Internal Security Act and the search for a hundred more have finally proven that it is right for the United States' to take extraordinary precautions against Muslims who hold Malaysian passports.

Moreover, Singapore, and particularly its Senior Minister Lee Kuan Yew have also been proven right in their public remarks that there are many potential terrorists in Malaysia and Indonesia.

On the other side of the coin, Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, other government leaders and the mainstream media in Malaysia have been proven wrong for denying earlier that there were no terrorists here.

Unless and until fair trials are held to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the recent batch of ISA detainees are not terrorists, foreign media, foreign governments and the international community have every legitimate reason to fear Malaysians, particularly Malaysian Muslims.
