As usual, the MCA leadership cannot solve problems within the party without outside help, i.e. Umno. As president Dr Ling Liong Sik has gotten a reprieve for another three years, I wonder what will happen to the ethnic Chinese during this period.

Will MCA stand up for Chinese interests in education and basic rights? Or will Ling be so beholden to Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad for saving his future that MCA will just keep its mouth shut?

As a life member, I am ashamed of the mess our leadership has got Chinese Malaysians into.
