Same old men and bogey dull us all
I'm not a member of any political party or non-governmental organisations. Therefore, I don't really know why ordinary members of a party allow themselves be bullied by their leaders who wish to hang on to power, as is happening right now in MCA.
Each time there is a party election, I read the same old stories in newspapers about leaders of political parties in the country telling their members that certain positions are best left uncontested for unitys sake and to avoid any splits that could be capitalised by the opposition.
Is this good for the party or good for them? Anyway, what's wrong with change?
I really don't understand what ordinary members are afraid of. There is nothing wrong in voicing their views or expressing their desires in having new leaders to lead them through the new decade. Don't they know that collectively they have the power to change or shape their party leadership? Don't they wish to have new blood to ensure their continuity and survival?
Unless, they speak up and be heard, I think I'll be reading in years to come the same old story from the same old men about the same old bogey.
