I wholeheartedly agree with the letter DPM needs to act on Azalina vs Perdana Seri debacle . The handling so far of this controversy by Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi leaves much to be desired.

His approach has been so laid-back that it is almost like he has no interest in the matter. Whatever his personal feelings are, as an aspiring PM, a firm hand must be shown to Umno members and also to the rakyat .

Trying to manage a difficult balancing act by sitting on the fence as he is doing, is a disservice to himself.

Also, the saying that what goes round comes round has returned to haunt Umno. After dispatching former Deputy Premier Anwar Ibrahim on trumped-up 'gay' affairs, a hand-picked supreme council member is under a similar cloud. I await with great anticipation the sideshow attractions that are about to unfold.
