I refer to Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad's article To bikini, or not to bikini in which he states and I quote "DAP — a fervent critic of the Islamic state".
I am not a member of any political party and do not speak for the DAP, but I don't think the party is "a fervent critic of the Islamic state". DAP has always supported our Federal Constitution which states to the effect that our official religion is Islam, but ours is not an Islamic state.
There is a world of difference between being secular and being critical of the Islamic state. I just think the author is being unfair to the DAP in this regard.
