Allow this simple citizen without any party affiliation to comment on your report Police the 'most corrupt', survey found .

I am glad to see that an allegation made by the opposition parties all these years have now been agreed upon by the survey conducted by prestigious and responsible organisations, like the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM) and Kuala Lumpur Society for Transparency & Integrity. I am also glad that the government of the Netherlands has funded the survey through its embassy in Kuala Lumpur.

Certainly, Home Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has to be held accountable. He has to explain why the police force under the jurisdiction of his ministry has degenerated into such a state of affairs. He has either to deny the conclusion of the survey, or to publicly reprimand the Inspector-General of Police Norian Mai for his inefficiency and incompetence.

Abdullah cannot just continue smiling at everyone and ignore the grave problem of corruption and the sharp decline of credibility and integrity of the police. He must say or do something for Malaysian taxpayers to evaluate his performance as DPM, home minister and possibly future PM. To be future PM is not his birthright or a mandate handed down from heaven.
