First of all, whatever our differences of opinion in political ideas, there are certainly more cultured, less rude and less insolent ways of engaging in democratic discourses, than what DAP deputy chairperson Karpal Singh has presented.

I thought Karpal would have challenged former Lord President Salleh Abas for a public debate. However, to date, there is no such intellectual and moral courage shown on the part of Karpal, despite his seemingly brave image.

Why evade intellectual debate with Salleh, and instead engaging in aggressive, irrational, useless and rude polemics against non-Muslim leaders in Barisan Alternatif? Is it because Karpal is afraid of losing rational arguments to the former Lord President who knows more than Karpal the ins and outs of English law, constitution and jurisprudence?
