The target should be PAS, not DAP
CH Loh In the article Stop putting opposition in bad light, Keadilan tells DAP , Keadilan deputy Youth chief Saifuddin Nasution Ismail urged DAP national chairperson Lim Kit Siang and his deputy Karpal Singh to "respect" Barisan Alternatif component parties.
This merely shows how badly impaired Keadilan's vision is, for it is not DAP, but PAS, who is putting the alternative alliance in a bad light. What basis is such an alliance when right behind it, PAS continues to display evidence that it does not share the other alliance members' visions, but steadfastly pursues its own agenda of Islamisation as a political tool? Are we expected to pretend it is not there during elections?
What kind of alliance are we expected to support, where its members brazenly display such backward attitudes to justice as stoning and amputation. Yes, hudud (Islamic penal code) law is more than that but this just about says it all doesn't it? And what happens if for the sake of argument Barisan Alternatif wins? No prizes as to who will have their way.
I have many questions for the future ruling party, for example, are we to expect stoning duty in future, do we have to stock up on our own pellets or will the government supply them?
This is not a joke, the alliance is.
