I am not aligned to any political party but on the matter of the Terengganu police's refusal to enforce the Syariah Criminal Offences (Hudud and Qisas) law of the state, I think they were being incredibly dense.

The police are supposed to enforce any law passed by a legally elected government, be it the Barisan Nasional or PAS government.

The statement by the police only goes to show that if there is a failure in the enforcement of the law, it is not due to any inadequacies in the law itself but sabotage from the law enforcers.

But please, let the hudud law be tested first before you condemn it. I believe there is more good than bad in the law.
