I find our attitude towards foreign workers and refugees perplexing. How can we justify bringing them by the hoards when the nation is 'doing well', but when things get bad we just kick them out?

Didn't they help to build our roads? Didn't they build our LRTs and skyscrapers? Is this really just? Why do we talk of justice when we dare not implement it in its totality?

It is not just about different rules for different times. Justice is not a variable quantity. We should have the courage to face up to our decisions in the past.
