I agree with this in theory. However, how does Steven Lim propose to disseminate such information to donors who may have chosen to remain anonymous? Do anonymous voters have no right to know?

In the information age, donations can be made using deposit slips into bank accounts, thus the donor automatically becomes anonymous because only withdrawals and not deposits require personal particulars like names and identity number.

So, in practice, either you tell everyone or you tell none because in reality you do not know who to tell. Maybe it is best for future donations to be handled by legal firms or trust companies.

I remember allegations that MCA once used part of the JE funds for political activities. With all this uncertainty, perhaps it is best to give donations only to poor relatives whom you know personally.
