I am shocked and dismayed when I read Feizal's letter Malays need rights as much as Dr M needs ISA . While I am respectful of his freedom to voice his opinion (that's what democracy is all about) the tone and the words of his letter are completely unacceptable.

Without the immigrants, Malaysia would not have the Tunku (whose mother is a Thai), the Mahathir (whose ancestors were definitely not from the Malay peninsular), the Tun Razak (whose ancestors were Bugis?) and the Onn (Jafaar, Hussein and now Hishamuddin whose ancestors originate from Turkey).

I wonder what Feisal has to say to that?

I have no idea where Feizal has been or what he has learned. Perhaps this episode represents the current malaise we are witnessing in Malaysian discourse and discussion of public issue. In order for us to be a true nation, we need to embrace one another. Just look at all those nations that practise one racial supremacy over the others, they all wither away and do not last.

If Feizal has his way, we are heading where Bosnia was, Germany's Nazi era was, Rhodesia was, et cetera. Hasn't he learn anything from recent world events? The last thing Malaysianeeds is an apartheid system of government! May I remind him that acceptance of diversity will enrich us and will never deprive us.

If he is a Malay, I am ashamed to have a fellow Malay like him. A Chinese or Indian Malaysian is as much a Malaysian as he is and is entitled to everything and all that he does. Period and end of discussion.
