Living abroad for 22 years, I had missed much of the development back home, despite the occasional trips home. However, having discovered malaysiakini several months ago, I have been following the news regularly.

I enjoy reading them especially after a hard day's work. Besides malaysiakini , I cannot think of any alternative publication which does not have 'embellished' news. Malaysiakini reports important events with the 'real news', the news that matters.

The website can be conveniently reached by people outside Malaysia like us without hassle. For too long we have been 'taught' by the mainstream media on what's happening around us.

From the business point of view, nothing is free. Otherwise the publisher will be out of business in no time. The RM100 annual subscription is worth paying. Let's not dispute the lock-down, please.
