Bravo to the education defenders
Although I am not a Chinese Malaysian, I have to salute MCA and other four Chinese-based parties of the Barisan Nasional. Unlike Umno leaders and members, these Chinese-based parties dare to argue and debate on policy matters that affect their communities.
On the contrary, Umno, with its one or two marginalised and ineffective dissidents like Shahrir Abdul Samad, nobody at the top or bottom of the party dares to question Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad over the suitability or otherwise of the proposed language switch. Umno has become a party of Malay slaves to a demi-god and demi-emperor.
There are so many academics and scholars who have argued against the teaching of Science and Mathematics in English in primary schools, but the Umno rank and file do not seem to care. All they keep on doing is to attend dinners and struggle for power, wealth and positions in the party and the government.
Malays must wake up! Otherwise, the future of our children will be damaged and harmed by yet another rash and unthinking experiment of some half-baked experts and selfish politicians in Umno.
Malays must reject Umno for using our children for its educational experiment. Barisan Alternatif must go all out to explain the issue to the Malay Malaysians. Dong Jiao Zong's educational experts could perhaps help to enlighten them.
