I am very upset at the snail pace the bilateral issues are being resolved between Singapore and Malaysia. I am talking about the release of pension funds which rightfully belong to Malaysians.

I have worked 10 years in Singapore and now returned to Malaysia for good. I wish to withdraw the entire sum to invest in property in Malaysia. I'm sure many Malaysians who have worked in Singapore previously, wished to repatriate their pension funds but are clueless where to voice out their grievances.

Given the strong S$-RM exchange rate right now and the low property prices in Malaysia, I hope to make good use of the money and not let future events take hold of my destiny. What if the Singapore dollar falls in value?

Why are Singaporeans allowed to withdraw their pension funds when they take up citizenship in other countries? Why are Malaysians from Sabah and Sarawak allowed to withdraw everything but not Malaysians from the peninsula when they leave the republic?

It is time authorities on both sides of the causeway looked into this issue seriously.
