I refer to LJ's letter Nik Aziz's true stripes showing . May I remind all that the decision to shoot tigers was not made by Kelantan Menteri Besar Nik Aziz Nik Mat alone. Mustapha Muhamad as the Barisan Nasional member of parliament for Jeli, where these tiger attacks occurred, was also in the meeting and had also supported the action.

I can't see the relation between wanting to kill tigers that had attacked or mauled several people to death with declaring Nik Aziz as "capable of horrendous things in the name of religion". If so, Mustapha, too, is capable of horrendous things.

By the way, don't forget that it was a BN minister, the 'benevolent' Abdul Kadir Sheikh Fadzir, who said some people should be shot dead for cheating foreign tourists. To borrow LJ's own line of reasoning: If Kadir (or the BN government) does not have any qualms using violence against people (not tigers), how do we know he (BN) would not use it against Malaysians?
