One of the clearest signs why a ruling regime has to go is the constant threat of putting away everybody under dubious laws such as the Official Secrets Act, the Internal Security Act, the Sedition Act and now the 'sedition provisions' under the amendments to the Election Offences Act.

The threat

to put Terengganu Menteri Besar Abdul Hadi Awang and 'errant' civil servants for leaking budget information sinks Umno even lower into the pit. Umno has reached the end of its tether so to speak, if it thinks its draconian laws provide the way for mute obedience to it.

Umno would be able to act upon these threats because it controls the police and allegedly some judges, so be it. But resistance is building against Umno and its cohorts in the Barisan Nasional. This is the future that awaits us.
