I refer to your article Kit Siang: PAS and Umno must stop Islam competition .

I find it rather ironic that Lim Kit Siang is complaining that PAS and Umno are trying to 'out-Islamise' one another when he himself and DAP are doing exactly the opposite: to 'out-anti-Islamic-state' with MCA and Gerakan.

His 'No to 929' campaign is a clear example of how DAP is more serious than MCA or Gerakan in going against the idea of an Islamic state in Malaysia. Unfortunately, Kit Siang's zeal for an anti-Islamic-state is perceived by most Muslims as the same as being anti-Islam.

Viewed politically, DAP's campaign will surely turn Muslim voters away from the party. MCA, at least, no longer publicly opposes an Islamic state. If faced with the two choices, Muslim voters surely will vote MCA, not DAP. So much for DAP's political maturity.
