I refer to the Add Chinese and Tamil to airport signboards, says DAP report.

I think it is pathetic that a request needs to be made by a political party to include different languages in signboards in this country. If the government practises what it preaches in respecting all races, it should be sensitive to their mother tongues and religious beliefs, and should have used various languages on things that affect Malaysians long ago.

We can learn a lot from Singapore on how to respect multiracial citizens in a country. It is more practical in its use of languages.

I have always wondered why Malaysian currencies have Jawi writing on it when the majority can not read it. How many Malay Malaysians can read Jawi but not Malay?

Many wise people in positions cannot understand the difference between language and religion. It is appalling that they expect everyone to love the country unconditionally when they give such short shrift to the mother tongues, religions and opportunities of some communities.

They should stop complaining that non-Malay Malaysians are not showing interest in joining the army and police forces. Is there any chance these days for them to head any government department or body though he or she is better qualified for the job? When there is favoritism, respect and rights are easily sidestepped.
