I refer to Dutta's comments in reply to my last response to Malott's remarks on ISA and personal attacks on me, it is regrettable that the editorial board of malaysiakini has deemed it necessary to publish the contents of Dutta's letter, which had inevitably exposed my whereabouts in this point in time.

I believe that malaysiakini did not have the intention to reveal my presence in New Zealand as per confidentiality requested in accordance to journalism etiquette, but certainly has the discretion not to have published Dutta's letter that had revealed my presence in New Zealand, which may subsequently exposed me to undesirable elements, etc, etc.

Although, malaysiakini has absolute rights of press freedom (without regulated censorship of the Internet), it has to take into strict compliance of confidentiality in matters of sensitivity, in order to prevent undesirable risks of identity of writers and contributors to your column.

I do not know who D Dutta is or where he is from, though from the tone of his letter I can gauge that he may know some of my background through his networks and connections. I am not in fear and will not respond to such negative attitude, which I regard as too personal and naive, in the defence of our government's draconian policies on issues of national importance such as the strict enforcement of the Internal Security Act and Official Secrets Act in the interest of our national security.

We need peace and security and not to grapple for power, which will always remain the priority of the people when they exercise their constitutional rights in the general elections. If the people want to vote in Keadilan, PAS or PAP, so be it. Face the consequences and adhere to total democracy, but leave the choice of abode to the people at large, i.e whether they wish to remain in Malaysia or venture overseas if they feel that things are better for them in US, Canada or elsewhere in this free world.

My earnest concern that as citizens of this nation, everyone should adopt a more sensible and responsible approach to address matters of national interest, which will affect the well being of our people and not be hypocrites and support the foreign interventions, which is the beginning of modern colonisation in the name of democracy and human rights issues.

Why should we expose ourselves to foreign conspiracy that will destroy our nation and affect our survival and that of our children and their future generations. We have already sacrificed Anwar Ibrahim and that's a great loss to the nation.

Are we crazy and cannot differentiate between what is right and what is wrong? Can we stop being emotional and fight for true justice on our own steam within the perimeters of our laws and regulations, but with due considerations for the survival of other citizens too?

That's my few cents worth of thoughts for the day.
