After reading your article on Oriental Daily News that was suspended after only one day in business, I was curious. When I talk to Malaysian entrepreneurs, I realise that something is seriously wrong with doing business here if there is no security against unjustified closure of businesses.

I understand that the company has invested RM30 million thus far, which is about HK$60 million. It is a big investment and it is terrible to be forced to close after one day in business.

Their experience has me worried. Does it mean if someone does not like you, he can take away your business any time?

I have attended many seminars by International Trade and Industry Minister Rafidah Aziz, both in Hongkong and southern China. I like Malaysia, and I must say it is a beautiful country as every trip to Malaysia has been a happy one for me, including this trip.

I do not know the true story behind Oriental Daily News ' ordeal but it makes me fearful to think that Chinese businesses can be treated like that in this country. Its experience sends a strong message to the business community.

I hope Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, who will take over the helm next year, will maintain the open policy and welcome foreign investments.
