I seriously don't see why CT Foo ( Witless statement harming PAS, Anwar's cause ) has to get so upset with PAS Youth chief Mahfuz Omar's statement over the Bali bombings.

While I may not share a lot of views with PAS with regards to local politics and its ideologies in running a government or on women issues, etc, I really don't see why Mahfuz has to come up with immediate evidence on what he has said.

After all did the US and its allies (especially Britain) wait for evidence to be brought before they decide to bomb Iraq? Or it doesn't matter anymore when it comes to superpowers?

Did the US wait for any evidence at all before they blamed Osama bin Laden or the so-called al-Qaeda network for the WTC bombings? It was all based on speculation and so-called circumstantial evidence and this is enough to kill thousands of Afghani children, destroying village after village and to arrest hundreds of Muslim men in the US itself purely because they are Muslims?

I don't see why the statement is considered baseless. The US has its own economic agenda and countless political analysts have said so in clear terms. What Mahfuz said is nothing new.

Free Anwar campaign is not at the mercy of US nor should it be. What has international credibility got to do with speaking your mind against an aggressor like the US? Are we to compromise on our principles so that we do not offend certain powers?

My sympathies are for all those who died in the tragic death in Bali but I will not jump into the US (alternatively known as West) bandwagon blaming Muslims (or better known as terrorists or militants) without any iota of evidence.
