I refer to the letter by Valentino James Tangar regarding the student affairs department (HEP), Umno Youth and Puteri Umno's involvement in the coming student election in Universiti Malaya.

Many realise that Umno in particular is working very hard to 'win' the campus election and eliminate the so-called 'anti-establishment' group.

It is not something new. Without shame, Umno uses its power to manipulate and poison students for its own agenda.

Overseas, the same political party uses the name Kelab Umno to propagate its politics, play racial cards and threaten students who are not politically aligned to it.

Yet, it hypocritically accuses opposition parties of playing politics in the academia.

I personally feel it is high time for students to start boycotting these people and end this practice.

Students must say no to Umno Youth, no to Puteri Umno and no to Kelab Umno.
