Zam gives Hollywood a good laugh
You can always count on (newly appointed) Deputy Information Minister Zainuddin Maidin to say or do something silly. This time he has gone international and become the talk of the town in Los Angeles, the self-proclaimed "entertainment capital of the world".
During one rush hour programme on a Los Angeles radio station Monday morning, everyone was talking about how the Malaysian government had banned Toyota commercials featuring Hollywood actor Brad Pitt.
According to Zam, the Hollywood star's appearance in the Toyota commercials was "an insult to Asians" because advertisements featuring personalities such as Brad Pitt would "plant a sense of inferiority among Asians".
After the female announcer finished reading the news story, her partner, also a woman chimed in.
"Brad Pitt makes all American men feel inferior, too!"
Everyone had a good chuckle on their way to work. Thank you, Zam, for giving us yet another good laugh.
