If what PAS claims is true, Malaysians should all take our hats off to the present Terengganu government, if not for all things, at least in fund management of the state. Despite facing great adversity, not least the withholding of oil duties by the federal government, PAS has managed to put the state on a better footing financially as it now only owes the federal government RM60 million.

Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has fallen into Terengganu Menteri Besar Abdul Hadi Awang's trap and taken the bait when the latter asked for some 'understanding' from the federal government on the amount due to it.

It is now time for Abdullah to call PAS' bluff, but Abdul Hadi looks like the better 'poker' player at the moment and I do not think Abdullah has the strength of conviction to go down this treacherous road lest he finds that Abdul Hadi in fact holds the 'royal flush'.
