It is great that malaysiakini has provided an avenue for Malaysians to dialogue on issues freely and openly, or I would not be able to have this dialogue with MC ( Keadilan's multiracial, but lacks substance ) and Disappointed ( Single-issue party can't serve Malaysians ).

Little can be said about the government controlled/owned media which I do not even bother to buy. All local TV stations, newspapers and radio networks are either directly controlled by a government arm or monitored closely to ensure only news favourable to Barisan Nasional goes through. This is further exploited to the till before elections.

Under these conditions, there is little hope of much positive news on the opposition going out to the public. Apart from that most of Keadilan's outspoken and capable leaders have been in and out of the ISA. Even so, this admittedly does not excuse Keadilan's ineffectiveness in communicating its stand on certain issues. The party was laden with infighting and this was especially highlighted in the government media. In this regard, I agree with MC and Disappointed's views.

However, that is exactly my point  a party that has lost billions of tax-payers' ringgit in propping up failed projects and ineffective companies; a party that controls every form of media in the country, uses the people's money to buy their votes and is now threatening them.

I would not back a party that dishonours contracts and chokes the people of Terengganu by blocking any form of revenue coming their way; a party that overrules the Federal Court orders and turns Parliament into a mere rubberstamp; a party that stripped the sultans of their powers and basically couldn't care less about any dissenting voice even if it is a voice that speaks "for the good of the people".
