The main point is this. No matter how bad Iraq's Saddam Hussein is, the US has the right to go into Iraq o­nly if it has the sanction of the United Nations.

If your neighbour abuses his wife, does that give you the right to go into his house, bash him to death and take over his home?

No, the responsible thing to do would be to warn him against his action and report him to the authority for further action.

Otherwise, under the slightest pretext, any man can rush into any home, kill the man of the house and take over it.
