Here are some suggestions o­n how to vote for our next leaders:

1) Find out who are contesting. Visit their websites (if any) to get a general view of their personal backgrounds, academic achievement and current career.

2) Write a letter to the candidates. Ask them what are their plans and vision for your area, block, constituents, club, organisation or party. We must also ask any other matters or issues that

we need further clarifications. Give a definite deadline for their reply. Remind them that their response will determine who we will vote in the coming election.

3) Send the letter via e-mail. Do not vote those who do not have any e-mail address. It shows that they are not in the 21st century yet. Our leaders should be at the forefront of the best technologies available. They must show full support of the MSC, Cyberjaya, e-business, k-economy, smart school, 'one computer every home' and other projects. It will be a joke if any of our future leaders are 'afraid' of the computers especially with the 'one computer every home' grand vision.

4) Wait for their replies. No reply, no vote.

5) If and when we receive any reply (within the deadline), carefully study and compare their

feedback.

6) o­n election day, we will know who to vote for.

7) After election day, keep o­n contacting our leaders personally (whenever possible), via phone, SMS, fax or e-mail.

In conclusion, our leaders must be constantly reminded that we, the voters, exist everyday and not o­n election days o­nly.
