So US President George W Bush is going ahead to invade Iraq with or without the United Nations Security Council mandate. If he does so without the necessary approval, it would o­nly mean he has broken certain international laws which will then make him a criminal.

In any war, innocent people will be killed and Iraq will be no exception. Who then is going to act for the plaintiffs by charging Bush for "crimes against humanity" in The Hague if at all no weapons of mass destruction are found after the Allied forces have entered Baghdad?

The president has said many times, he is acting in self-defence. If I am not wrong, legally speaking, self-defence is no defence if it means taking the lives of the innocent. In this case, it will be sheer murder bordering o­n genocide!
