In response to Bill Dillon's No more 9/11 for US , I'd like to point out that the terrorists of 9/11 did not use any weapons of mass destruction (WMDs). It is their hatred and desperate hearts which were more dangerous than the WMDs, that propelled them to turn the planes and themselves into human bombs.

Americans should ask themselves why Muslims hate them so much that they are willing to sacrifice their lives in vengeance. Why does North Korea react to American arrogance? Why do many world leaders urge Americans to learn other countries' cultures? Why does the US impose double standards in the Israel-Palestinian issue?

Instead of assuaging anger by waging the unjustified war, the US has instead strengthened the wrath of Middle East countries, and triggered that of other Muslim nations. A nation's hatred will not go away as easily as weapons of mass destruction.

It would have been a different story if the action was multilateral, or with real evidence that Saddam's regime posed a direct threat to the US or her allies. The world would have seen that this war was necessary.

However, even though all of us are convinced that Saddam Hussein is cruel and brutal, we are not convinced that he poses a direct threat to the US.

The next 9/11 will not happen during the war, as everyone is busy building up their defences. And even if Saddam's regime were to be toppled and Osama bin Laden caught, I am certain terrorists will strike again in the near future.
