All this fuss about the state of Tamil schools. The sedition-card-waving politicians should realise by now that what Senator M Kayveas, the People's Progressive Party president and minister for housing and local government, said is absolutely right: Tamil schools do not contribute to anything in this country.

I am a Tamil. My mother was uneducated and my father dropped out of school in his early teens.

Just because I attended a national school, it didn't make me forget my mother tongue or my culture. I am proud of my culture. Today I have a good job in a well-established company.

The laws protecting the status of Tamil schools might be in the Federal Constitution. But I say it's time to change that law. Else, we'd be no different from the Americans protecting their grossly outdated and ridiculous right to bear arms.

The Indians in this country will be in a better state if we can get rid of these dangerous politicians fighting for a cause which I know is not in their hearts. As if DAP Youth has the welfare of Indian Malaysians at heart. Now I suppose the other so-called Indian-based parties and their lapdogs will jump o­n the bandwagon and file police reports against Kayveas.

Maybe it's a way for these people to manufacture a society that has blind faith in fools.
